Dear Valued Industry Stakeholders,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming Trinidad and Tobago 2025 Deep Water Competitive Bidding Round (2025 DWCBR) which will launch in the 1st quarter of 2025 and close in the 3rd Quarter of 2025. All open Deep Water blocks are being considered for inclusion in the DWCBR 2025. Details here - https://www.energy.gov.tt/for-investors/2025-deep-water-competitive-bidding-round/

The key documents and data to guide stakeholders throughout the 2025 DWCBR will include but is not limited to:

Competitive Bidding Order (CBO)

The Petroleum Regulation Deep Water Competitive Bidding Order will outline the requirements of bid submission, maps and descriptions of the blocks, the summary bid form, and the revised evaluation method for bid submissions.

Model Production Sharing Contract (PSC)

The deep water blocks will be governed by Production Sharing Contracts (PSC). The Model PSC, positively vetted by the Attorney General, ensures that operations are carried out to international standards and that all parties receive a fair share of revenue generated by the extraction and disposal of crude oil and natural gas. The Model PSC has been updated to reflect recent regulatory and economic changes.

Data Package

Where a prospective bidder pays the pre-bid fee he shall be entitled to receive the data package which shall include data for all blocks and bid on any or all of the blocks to assist in acreage evaluation as will be detailed in the Data Package Listing. The data package will also contain the Local Content and Local Participation Framework and the National Oil Spill Contingency Plan. Persons intending to bid either individually or as a member of a consortium shall pay a bid application fee.
